Galatasaray deputy chairman, ?brahim Hatipo?lu has dismissed reports suggesting Victor Osimhen could leave the club in January, Nigeriasoccernet.com reports.
The Nigerian international joined the Turkish Super Lig champions on a season-long loan from Napoli earlier this month, sparking speculation about a potential January exit.
However, Hatipo?lu insisted Osimhen will remain at Galatasaray until June, quashing rumors of a mid-season departure.
"Osimhen leaving in January is out of the question," Hatipo?lu told NTVSpor.
"In fact, we are making plans to have Osimhen play next season as well. Osimhen is a Galatasaray player until June."
Hatipo?lu also hinted at the club's desire to sign Osimhen on a permanent basis.
"Discussing this is aimed at changing the agenda, at spoiling the pleasure of watching Osimhen," he added.
"The player shows how devoted he is to Galatasaray in every match."
Galatasaray's intention to keep Osimhen beyond his initial loan deal is a significant boost to their ambitions in the Turkish Super Lig and European competitions.
Osimhen's impressive start to life in Istanbul has excited fans, and Hatipo?lu's comments will only fuel optimism about the Nigerian striker's long-term future at the club.
