The French top-flight campaigners need a versatile player who can anchor their defense and also become a shield for the back four and seem to have settled on the Ghanaian.
Amartey is under contract with Danish giants FC Copenhagen and is playing an influential role in their Europa League campaign but would consider a move to France.
A couple of clubs have been linked with the 2015 AFCON silver medalist but it is unclear whether Copenhagen will allow him to leave.
