The 2-0 victory - masterminded by substitute Jordan Veretout, who was involved in both second half goals - secured Roma's place in the knockout stages of the Europa League, with two Group A games still to be played.

Here's what the boss had to say...

What does it mean to qualify for the knockout stages - especially with two games to spare?

“We aren’t finished just yet. We want to finish top of the group – but it was important to come here and win and make sure that our first objective, to qualify, was achieved.”

Is it also important to have that boost heading into Sunday’s game against Napoli?

“I have to say that I hadn't really even thought about the game against Napoli. I will start to think about it now, but first we had a really important game to make sure we clinched qualification.

"Sunday will be a really tough game, against a really good side.”

You changed things around a lot today. Which players impressed you the most?

"I was happy with all the players. I spoke with Spinazzola, Calafiori and Veretout - telling them that they would need to play in slightly unusual positions - but all of them played really well."
