The U20 Boys’ National Team, Flying Eagles, have returned to the country from the just-concluded U20 Africa Cup of Nations finals in Egypt, where they won the bronze medals and also earned a ticket to this year’s FIFA U20 World Cup finals taking place in Chile, NigeriaSoccernet.com reports.
The contingent flew back to Abuja on Tuesday afternoon, and foreign players are expected to return to their respective clubs following a successful competition.
Although the season is almost over across Europe and Nigeria, the returning players would have enough rest as their focus will now turn to having a good outing at the FIFA U20 World Cup after missing out last time.
It remains unknown if they would be specially hosted by the Nigeria Football Federation, having done a good job of securing the ultimate FIFA ticket.
