This decision was confirmed following the official draw conducted by the Confederation of African Football (CAF) in Cairo, Egypt, on Thursday.

The Flamingos, who achieved a historic semi-final finish at the 2022 FIFA U-17 Women’s World Cup in India, will begin their qualification campaign in the Second Round. Bankole Olowookere’s side is set to face the winner of the First Round tie between South Africa and Gabon. These decisive second-round matches are scheduled for March 2025.

The competition’s structure outlines that winners of the Second Round will advance to the Third Round. This stage will determine the four African representatives at the global tournament, with the final slots to be decided in April 2025.
