Flamingoes succumb to Fernanbache in last warm up game

Nigeria Flamingos fell by 1-3 in their last warm up match to Turkish giant, Fenerbahce on Tuesday.

The game wrapped up their under 17 women's world cup test games, but it ended with a disappointing loss to Nigeria's Patricia George's Fenerbahce.

After 30 minutes of play where there was nothing to choose between the two sides but 5 minutes later, Fenerbahce scored the first goal in the via the boot of Busan Seker.

 

The first half ended with the one nil scoreline, leaving the Turkish giants with the momentum going into the break.

Subsequent goals didn't come until later in the second half as Busan Seker got her second of the day in the 80th minute.

 

Etim Edidiong did pull one back for the Nigerian team in the 90th minute but it was more or less a consolation as Fenerbahce added one more before the final whistle.

 

Nina Kpaho's 93rd minute goal was the icing on the cake and a seal that made any hope of a comeback impossible.

 

The Flamingos are expected to jet out of Turkey anytime soon to India where they will compete in group B for the cadet trophy.
