With barely three weeks to the start of this year FIFA U20 world cup in Argentina, head coach of Golden Eaglets Ladan Bosso has until May 10 to submit a final 21-man squad for this year’s FIFA World Cup.
The Flying Eagles are due to fly out from Abuja to Argentina for the World Cup Saturday night.
NFF Officials said 25 players will embark on the long-distance trip to South America and soon after their arrival four of these players will be axed.
There are strong indications that the bulk of the squad to the recent U20 AFCON in Egypt will dominate the final squad to the World Cup.
However, several foreign-based pros are expected to gate crash the party to Argentina.
The Flying Eagles are drawn in a difficult first round group that has Brazil and Italy and they open their campaign on May 21 in Mendoza against the Dominican Republic.
