FIFA U-20 World Cup Qualifies: Falconets get Burundi in the second round

The Nigeria U-20 women football team, Falconets have been drawn to play Burundi in the second round of FIFA Under-20 Women’s World Cup qualifications coming up next year, Nigeriasoccernet.com reports.

The first of the qualifying series is a round-robin style involving the six lowest ranked teams between September 1 and September 10, one of which will see Togo take on Guinea Bissau. 

The second round happening in between October 6 and October 15 will have Nigeria join the quest for the qualifying ticket while Ghana will await the winner of the match between Togo and Guinea Bissau.

The draw was officially conducted by the Confederation of African Football (CAF) in Cairo, Egypt.

Falconets are two time finalists and were semi-finalists in the last edition of the World Cup.
