Nigeria's U17 Women's team Captain, Alvine Dah Zossu, has revealed that she was disappointed on their 2-1 defeat to Germany in their FIFA U-17 World Cup Group B opener.
Germany came back from a goal down to beat Flamingoes 2-1 in Goa despite the African side dominating the game.
While reacting to the outcome of the game Zossu said it's not easy to be on the losing side but optimistic that the team will bounce back in their next game.
"Sadly, we couldn't win, we gave our all but it wasn't good enough to earn us victory."
"It's not easy to be on the losing side but we will pick ourselves up and bounce back against New Zealand", she said.
Nigeria will hope to bounce back on Friday when they face New Zealand.
The Kiwis also lost their opening game to Chile 3-1 .
