Nigeria's U-20 women's national team, the Falconets, has sealed a place in the final qualifying round of the 2026 FIFA U-20 Women's World Cup with a commanding 4-0 victory over Rwanda, NigeriaSoccernet.com reports.
The win at the Lekan Salami Stadium in Ibadan on Saturday completes a 5-0 aggregate triumph for Moses Aduku's side.
Precious Oscar opened the scoring in the 13th minute, capitalizing on a fine run and cut-back from Janet Akekoromowei.
Tumininu Adeshina doubled the lead seven minutes later with a spectacular direct corner kick, leaving the Rwandan goalkeeper stranded.
Akekoromowei added a third goal in the second half with a powerful long-range strike, before substitute Taiwo Afolabi sealed the win with a stoppage-time goal.
The Falconets will now face either Senegal or Algeria in the final qualifying round, scheduled for February 2026, in a bid to secure one of Africa's four spots at the 2026 FIFA U-20 Women's World Cup in Poland.
