EXCLUSIVE: Man City starlet Godsway Donyoh handed Ghana U23 chance ahead of Egypt friendly
Manchester City starlet Godsway Donyoh has been handed a call-up into Ghana’s Olympic team ahead of the international friendly against Egypt, GHANAsoccernet.com can exclusively report.
The 20-year-old, currently on loan at Swedish side Falkenberg, will be closely monitored by head coach Malik Jabir and his backroom staff during the friendly exercise.
Donyoh, a product of Right to Dream Academy, is hugely regarded as rising talent in the West African country and will be desperate to impress the technical handlers.
The youngster has delaye hs return to Sweden to honour the invitation in a bid to force his way into the team ahead of the qualifiers for the 2015 All Africa Games.
The Black Meteors will play the Egyptian Olympic team in Cairo on January 13 with the return fixture fixed for the same venue four days later.
Jabir has already invited 16 local-based players to begin preparations ahead of the exhibition game.
The two countries are using the international friendly to prepare for the 2015 CAF U-23 Championship and All-Africa Games qualifiers.
