Nigeria U-23 forward Sadiq Umar will complete his loan switch to Serie A side Bologna from AS Roma, Owngoalnigeria.com can exclusively reveal. Last season under Manager Rudi Garcia, the Nigerian forced his way into the first team set up at Roma but he has found games hard to come by since the appointment of Luciano Spalleti leading to the 19 year old seeking a loan move to a club he believes he will get playing time.

Sadiq who is presently in Mexico with the Nigeria U-23s was heavily courted by newly promoted Serie A side Crotone but a switch to Bologna looks more likely and it could be concluded before the start of the Olympics in August.

Last season he scored twice for the main team of Roma but plundered an impressive 14 goals for the Primavera side with a further 5 goals for the B team in the UEFA youth league.
