Ex Man City Midfielder Nwakali Part Ways With Polish Second Division Side Rakow Czestochowa

Chidiebere Nwakali has ended his association with Polish second division side Rakow Czestochowa six months after joining them on a permanent deal from Manchester City.

For now information regarding his release from the club is still sketchy as we are yet to establish if he terminated his deal or if it was the other way round. However we gathered he left the club since the 16th of November.

Nwakali joined Man City alongside Kelechi Iheanacho in 2015 after their exploits for Nigeria at the 2013 U17 World Youth Championship, where they were both pivotal for Nigeria who were crowned champions.

While Iheanacho made the step up to the first team, Nwakali found it a big hard to make the grade and several loan spells didn’t convince the hierarchy of the club to give him a chance to battle for a spot with the first team of the Etihad outfit.

The elder brother to on loan Arsenal midfielder Kelechi Nwakali who is at Porto B, his performance for the Super Eagles B team in a friendly game against Atletico Madrid made many to tip him for a starring role in the team but that hasn’t been the case.

He also trained with the Super Eagles prior to the friendly game against Argentina which came after their final qualifiers game against Algeria in the Russia 2018 World Cup Qualifiers.
