Dr. Sarpong made the suggestion after the former Juventus star invited to him to attend his testimonial dinner and football match on Saturday.

The former Tema Oil Refinery Chief Executive argues that Appiah’s qualities as a good leader could have him a successful coach.

"I advise GFA to consider handing Appiah a managerial role in any of the national teams," Dr. Sarpong said.

"He is a very good leader who the country should still benefit from. We must not let him go idle."

Appiah played for clubs including Parma, Brescia and Fenerbahce.
