In an interview with The PUNCH, Taribo, founder of the Shelter in The Storm Miracle Ministry, said the widespread calls for reforms in other sectors should also apply to the country’s football.

“We are going to protest against those that have hijacked our football system,” Taribo told The PUNCH.

“The work of God is in my spirit, but football is in my blood and that means you can’t keep football away from me.

“Everything happening in the Nigerian system must also affect the football house. Footballers with integrity must be employed in the football house because money that has been siphoned, embezzled and mismanaged cannot be quantified.

“As one of the youths that want an immediate change, I’m therefore spearheading a protest against the mismanagement of funds in Nigerian football.”
