Ex-Hearts coach Polo lashes out at 'pot-belly Sabahn Quaye after team's heavy defeat against Esperance
Ex-Hearts coach Mohammed Polo has launched a stinging potshot at team manager Sabahn Quaye, accusing him of filling his ‘pot-belly’at the expense of the club.
In a no hold-barred attack on the Black Stars team manager, Polo accused Quaye of undermining him during his ill-fated tenure at the club.
Polo’s recent tirade comes on the feels of the side’s humiliating 4-0 defeat against Esperance in the first leg of the CAF Confederation last Sunday.
The former Ghana international fingered the highly-respected ex-Liberty team manager of ‘doing nothing’ for Ghana football, yet holds himself as an apostle of the game in the West African country.
In a massive verbal attack on the Hearts team manager, Polo accuses him of using the monies accrued from the Black Stars to fill his 'pot-belly'.
“I think the players needed more motivation ahead of the game. But they didn’t get that,” he told newly established Kasapa Fm.
“I was very much criticized during my time with the club even though I did my best to motivate them anytime.
“The most annoying person is Saban Quaye, he criticized me a lot during my time at the club. He has gotten the Chance at the Black Stars spending money to fill his belly. He has done nothing for Ghana.”
Polo has been critical of the club since his bitter departure at the club, launching series of attacks in recent times.
He accused the club of lacking the technical direction after the crushing defeat against the Tunisian giants.
