Akas, who was part of the Super Eagles to the 2016 African Nations Championship in Rwanda, sealed the move abroad after a successful trial, the club said.

The former Shooting Stars left-back signed a three-year contract, which will keep him at the club till 2021.

Akas went on trials at the Swedish club after his contract expired with Premier League giants Enyimba, where he played last season.

In 2016, he captained the NPFL All-star team that travelled to Spain on a tour in matches against La Liga sides Malaga and Valencia.

Akas told the club’s website that he was happy with the move.

He said, “Joining this club has been my goal since I came here. Therefore, it feels good that it is finally clear. I am a fast-paced player who plays at the left of the back line. I am also a good ball winner.”

Akas represented Nigeria last year at the CHAN qualifiers and WAFU Cup.
