Barcelona defender Eric Garcia has outlined how the club chose its captaincy group for the current campaign.

Garcia was appointed third captain, behind Raphinha and Pedri. Frenkie de Jong was selected as fourth captain, with Lamine Yamal named fifth.

The leadership group has been established as Hansi Flick’s side make a strong start to the season. Barcelona currently lead La Liga with 15 points from their opening five matches.
