Though with mixed fortunes, Super Eagles of Nigeria players in the English Premier League put up great performances for their respective club sides on Saturday.

For new signing Joe Aribo, it was a day to remember for the former Celtic midfield maestro as he came off the bench to score for Southampton.

 

Aribo's 29-minutes stay on the pitch produce a first league goal in the Saint's 2-2 draw against Leeds.

His goal came in the 72nd minutes after handling Adam Armstrong's flick, beats the goalkeeper and put the ball beyond the Leeds defenders.

Leceister City's duo of Wilfred Ndidi and Kelechi Iheanacho were on the losing side of their match day two fixture against Arsenal.

Ndidi put in a star performance trying to stop the onslaught of the Gunners while Iheanacho assisted a goal after his introduction to the game, but their efforts were enough to top a 4-2 defeat.

 

Iwobi continued his fine form to the season despite his Merseyside team 2-1 loss to Aston Villa.
