Enyimba to play Wydad Casablanca in maiden edition of the African Soccer League

Nine time Nigeria Professional Football League Champions, Enyimba have been drawn to play Moroccan giants Wydad Casablanca in the quarter final of the African Soccer League, Nigeriasoccernet.com reports.

The draw for the quarter final of encounter which will take place in October was held at the Confederation of African Football headquarters in Cairo on Saturday.

While Enyimba boast of two CAF Champions League title, Wydad have three of the Continental titles with 22 domestic titles.

The two legged affair will see Enyimba play first at home games at the Godswill Akpabio Stadium in Uyo before traveling to Casablanca for the second leg.

Meanwhile, in other fixtures, Esperance of Tunisia will take on Congo Democratic Republic side TP Mazembe.

Africa’s most successful club Al Ahly of Egypt will be up against Tanzania’s Simba while Mamelodi Sundowns of South Africa will lock horns with Petro Athletico of Angola.
