Super Eagles midfielder Raphael Onyedika is set to join Bundesliga side Eintracht Frankfurt after the German club reached an agreement with Belgian champions Club Brugge for his transfer, Nigeriasoccernet.com reports.
Transfer expert Fabrizio Romano revealed that Frankfurt have concluded negotiations with Club Brugge, ending weeks of speculation surrounding the Nigerian international's future.
The deal is reportedly worth an initial €9 million, with additional performance-related bonuses included in the agreement.
Onyedika is now expected to undergo a medical before signing a long-term contract that will keep him at Deutsche Bank Park until 2031.
The 25-year-old missed Club Brugge's Belgian Super Cup encounter against Union Saint-Gilloise on Friday, with the club officially stating that he was unavailable due to illness.
The Nigerian joined Club Brugge from Danish outfit FC Midtjylland in the summer of 2022 and quickly became a vital figure in the Belgian side's midfield.
During his spell with Blauw-Zwart, Onyedika helped the club secure two Belgian Pro League titles, a Belgian Cup, and a Belgian Super Cup, while earning widespread recognition for his dominant performances.
His move to Eintracht Frankfurt marks another significant milestone in his career, with the Super Eagles midfielder set to experience Bundesliga football for the first time as he embarks on a new chapter in Germany.
