Former Warri Wolves skipper Azubuike Egwuekwe lived up to his pre-match boast as he ensured his Finnish club KuPS did not lose Sunday to rampant league leaders HJK complete with the Nigeria stars Nnamdi Oduamadi and Tayei Taiwo.

Hosts KuPS held HJK to a goalless draw in continuation of the Finnish top-flight league.

Egwueekwe played the entire game and he was even booked in the 57thminute.

The game was a reunion of Nigeria stars as seven of them started – Four for KuPS and three for HJK.

Egwuekwe, Abubakar Aliyu, Paul Onobi and Gbolahan Salami all started and finished the game for KuPS, while Oduamadi, Taye Taiwo and Vincent Onovo featured for HJK.

HJK lead the table on 27 points from 12 matches, while KuPS are third and 10 points behind.
