Ebusua Dwarfs coach JE Sarpong has hailed his players after they secured qualification to Ghana’s top-flight.

Dwarfs held their verve to grind out a pulsating goalless draw game against closest challengers Elmina Sharks on Sunday to book an early return to the elite division.

The Cape Coast-based side has been impressive in the National zone two qualifiers with striker Bright Lukeman scoring outstanding 30-goals for the club in their Premier League pursuit.

And veteran coach JE Sarpong has been left delighted with the feat chalked by his troops.

“I want to congratulate the players and the management team for this feat. We are very happy and they must be commended,’ he said

“If you have astute men of substance who form the management team, what do you expect ?

“The president Nana Sam Brew Butler, chief executive Nana Aidoo and all the other members have been phenomenal.

“We have to celebrate today and go back and plan for the Premier League. It’s not easy to get demoted and make a return after only a year It tells you a lot of hardwork has gone into it.

“We must plan to ensure we remain in the top-flight forever.”

Dwarfs are staging a return to the elite division after only a season in the country’s second-tier.
