Viktoria Plzen striker, Rafiu Durosinmi, has been nominated for the UEFA Europa League Matchday One Goal of the Day award, Nigeriasoccernet.com reports.
Durosimu scored a stunning volley in the team's 1-1 draw with Ferencváros on Thursday night.
The 22-year-old Nigerian forward scored a magnificent goal in the 16th minute, racing towards goal, beating his marker, and unleashing a superb volley into the back of the net.
Durosinmi's goal gave Plzen an early lead, but Ferencváros equalized in stoppage time through Aleksandar Peši?.
The Nigerian striker has now scored seven goals in 13 appearances for Plzen this season.
Durosinmi's goal is in contention for the Goal of the Day award, competing with three other impressive strikes from the matchday's fixture.
