Rangers striker Cyriel Dessers has expressed his delight at working with interim manager Barry Ferguson, following the Scot's winning start to life in charge, Nigeriasoccernet.com reports.

Ferguson took the reins at Ibrox after Philippe Clement's departure and made an instant impact, as Rangers came from two goals down to beat Kilmarnock 4-2 on Wednesday.

Dessers scored twice in the comeback victory and praised Ferguson's influence, citing his illustrious playing career and reputation at the club.

"I know what he did for the club - five league titles, five Scottish Cups - that speaks for itself," Dessers said. "He's a big name, a big personality, and it's good that he's around now."
