“Dessers Came From A Different League.“ Okereke Calls For Patience With His Teammates.
Cremonese and Super Eagles of Nigeria forward David Okereke has called for patience from those asking for more from himself and his striker partner Cyril Dessers.
With Okereke scoring just 3 goals in 15 league games and Dessers with two in thirteen games, the granata fans are beginning to worry particularly with the believe that their team had number of chances that weren’t properly utilized.
“Often we don't consider the value of the opposing goalkeepers: we've met some very strong ones and it's not always easy to beat them. We must continue to believe in the work we are doing.” Okereke said.
Both Okereke and Dessers joined Ceremonese from club Brugge and Feyernood with later having an impressive run in the conference, raising the hope of Cremonese fans when they both joined but things have been below expectations.
“We are trying to help each other; a concept, that of help, which applies to the whole group because the objectives are achieved together.
“Dessers came from a different league than the Italian one and I too had other experiences before last season. It is natural that it takes some time to fully understand the characteristics of each of us" Okereke explained.
