Delta Governor Okowa Promises Super Eagles $25,000-A- Goal Vs Bafana

Delta State Governor, Ifeanyi Okowa has promised to reward the Super Eagles with $25,000 for each goal against the Bafana Bafana of South Africa in Saturday’s 2019 Africa Cup of Nations qualifying fixture.

Okowa made the promise when he addressed the team after their first training session on Wednesday evening  at the Stephen Keshi Stadium, Asaba.

Okowa was accompanied by the president of the Nigeria Football Federation, Amaju Pelvin Pinnick and other top officials of the Delta State Sports Council.

 

 

The Super Eagles had their first training session on Tuesday with 22 players in attendance.

 

Bordeaux of France winger, Samuel Kalu is the only player still being expected in camp.

 

Gernot Rohr’s men top Group E of the 2019 AFCON qualifiers with nine points from four matches, a point ahead of second-placed South Africa.

 

The Mediterranean Knights of Libya are in third position with four points, while Seychelles occupy last place with just one point.

 

A win against the Bafana Bafana will guaranteed the Super Eagles a place in Cameroon 2019
