He featured, but couldn't help his side get over Hull City at the Vicarage Road as the match ended goaless.

The Nigerian whose injury status has limited play for the Hornets this season played in a centre role alongside midfield partners Hamza Choudhury and later João Pedro following Choudhury’s substitution after picking up a knock.

Dele-Bashiru however expressed his frustration following the goaless affair against the Tigers.

“It was frustrating,” Dele-Bashiru began. “The first half was pretty even and we grew into the game a bit, but we didn’t start particularly well.

“Hamza’s injury might have thrown us off a bit, but I think we grew into it during the second half. We started a bit poorly, but we created a lot of chances and we should’ve won the game, so it’s frustrating.

An away trip to Huddersfield Town lies next in store for Slaven Bili? and his charges on Saturday (December 17, 3pm KO), and with their position in the play-off places strengthened they will be hopeful of extending their unbeaten run to four games in West Yorkshire
