Newly signed Asante Kotoko head coach David Duncan will be on the bench when the Ghanaian champions make their bow in this season’s CAF champion’s league competition.

The Porcupine warriors have had an erratic start to their domestic campaign sitting at a disappointing 14 on the league table with 11 points from a possible 30.

The disappointing start on the domestic scene has necessitated a change at the top with David Duncan taking over from Mas-Ud Dramani late on.

There is however doubts over if David Duncan will be allowed to take charge of the team with Kotoko in desperate need of inspiration.

But Opoku Nti says he is confident that Duncan will be on the bench for the game.

“It is very likely that David Duncan will be on the bench against El Eulma,” Opoku Nti told Accra based Happy FM “We are all taking this game very serious and we are ensuring that all is kept in place to ensure that we start very well.”

Kotoko have been knocked out of CAF Champions league in the last two editions at the preliminary stage and will be desperate to avoid similar fate this season.
