Danish Superliga side Esbjerg are plotting a move to sign experienced Ghana midfielder Anthony Annan from German Bundesliga II side 1860 Munich, GHANAsoccernet.com has learnt.
Esbjerg have penciled down the 28-year-old former Schalke 04 midfielder for a summer move and are likely to officially approach him in the coming weeks.
Annan still has a year left on his Munich 1860 contract but is ready to quit the club which has not offered him enough playing time since arriving.
Esbjerg, who have Danish-born Ghanaian midfielder Kevin Mensah, were interested in signing the former Hearts of Oak enforcer before he joined Munich but could not march their offer.
However, with the midfielder prepared to leave the club, Munich are willing to allow Annan leave and would reach an agreement with the Danish outfit.
Annan has had spells in the Netherlands - Vitesse Arnhem, Spain - Osasuna, Finland - HJK Helsinki, Norway - Rosenborg BK and Germany - Schalke 04.
