Crystal Palace have 'serious interest' in Joe Aribo

English Premier League side Crystal Palace are ready to make a move for Rangers and Super Eagles star Joe Aribo.

According to reports in the English press, Aribo has been a long-term target for Palace, who are looking to add more quality to their squad for the new season.

Patrick Vieira's side are currently lining up a move for Joe Aribo during the summer transfer window. Aribo has suggested he isn't interested in leaving Ibrox but with just a year left on his deal, Rangers could look to sell this summer if he doesn't agree a new one.

Crystal Palace are keeping tabs on him with the Nigeria International suiting their style of play and their transfer policy. Moving back to South London could interest Aribo who is known to be a bit of a homebird and had to be convinced about moving away from London to join Rangers in 2019.

The Athletic report that Palace have 'serious interest' in Aribo and Rangers would expect to receive a minimum of £10million for him if he was to leave.

That would also help Giovanni van Bronckhorst add to his squad in the summer. Aribo hasn't signed a new contract since moving to Rangers from Charlton so isn't one of the club's highest earners but could bring in a good transfer fee.

But speaking earlier this week, he said: "I never knew about anything to be honest, I just focused on football. "I’m happy at Rangers, I’ve been happy since I got here and I’ve loved every single minute of it. "So I’ve just been focused on here and I just want to stay focused because at the end of the day, I’m a Rangers player and I’m not thinking about leaving because I’m really happy here."

Aribo was one of Rangers' best players in the just-concluded season. The 25-year-old played more games than any other Rangers player in the just-concluded season. Aribo made 57 appearances for the Scottish giants in all competitions, scoring nine goals and providing ten assists. He was key to Rangers run to the Europa League final, which they lost to Eintracht Frankfurt 1-0.
