Abu Dhabi: Excitement for the AFC Asian Cup UAE 2019 reached new levels with community ambassadors uniting to inspire each other and their countries ahead of the Continental showpiece, which kicks off in just 18 days when hosts UAE take on Bahrain at the Zayed Sports City Stadium on January 5, 2019.

Playmakers from the participating countries took part in the latest workshop on the AFC Asian Cup, which inspired everybody to reach new levels of enthusiasm thanks to a motivational opening from fellow Playmaker – life coach Farhad Kardan, who currently lives between the United Arab Emirates and Japan.

Throughout the afternoon, guests exchanged uplifting stories, competed against each other in a number of activities from the interactive roadshow before uniting to compete in a football friendly match.

Coach Kardan, who welcomed the session with his motivational speech lifted the energy levels when addressing the group: “Close the gap and achieve your best. We need to live it and bring our energy levels up. There is always room for improvement and I believe that we can all help each other to achieve our best and support our countries in the AFC Asian Cup.”

Commenting on the growth and success of the Playmakers Programme, Ahmed Al Qubaisi, Marketing and Communications Director for the Local Organising Committee, added: “Through the Playmakers Programme we have seen continual growth and witnessed great examples of community spirit which we want to see on a larger scale during the tournament.

“Individuals from a number of countries and cultures have come together to form friendships and share stories and ideas on how supporters can really take the AFC Asian Cup UAE 2019 to the next level.”

Earlier in December the Playmakers Programme for the AFC Asian Cup celebrated the recruitment of 600 ambassadors for the tournament which is set to excite the UAE and the rest of Asia.
