Mamelodi Sundowns are expected to make a decision on Cofie Bekoe before the transfer window deadline on Friday.
The midfielder from Ghana has been training with Sundowns under Pitso Mosimane and his technical team.
The 26-year-old was in action for the Chloorkop outfit when they beat Zambia Premier League side, Zesco United, 2-0 in a friendly game played in Gauteng recently.
Although it is unclear how Sundowns could potentially sign the player this week, the club will be expected to make a decision on Bekoe before the January transfer window deadline on Friday.
The Brazilians have already exhausted their foreign quota for the season, after registering Cuthbert Malajila, Khama Billiat, Kudakwashe Mahachi, Mame Niang and Ejike Uzoenyi at the start of the 2014/15 campaign.
Bekoe’s countryman, Rashid Sumaila, missed out on getting a chance to play in the PSL this season, when the club decided against registering him with the league.
The defender has since been loaned to Al Qadsia SC in Kuwaiti.
