The Nigerian winger, who replaced Youssouf Fofana in the 57th minute, bundled the ball over the line from six yards with his thigh to secure all three points for Milan.

The goal was Chukwueze's second in the league this season and marked a triumphant return to action for the 24-year-old, who only resumed full training this week after recovering from a muscle injury sustained last December.

Despite transfer speculations surrounding the forward, the former Villareal winger is important to the new manager.

Chukwueze has now made 17 league appearances for Milan this season, and his late winner will be a welcome boost for the Rossoneri as they look to maintain their momentum in the league.
