During a briefing on Monday, Hon. Awoyeye lauded the event's organizers for their outstanding efforts in putting together a competition that has captured the spirit of unity, excellence, and youth engagement across tertiary institutions in the state.

Speaking on the sidelines of the event’s progress report, Hon. Awoyeye described the Games as a beacon of hope for grassroots sports development in Osun State. He praised the seamless coordination, the level of participation, and the high standards of competition observed so far.

"The Osun Intercollegiate Games have not only fostered healthy competition among students but have also created a platform to identify and nurture young talents who could represent the state and the nation in the future," he said.

The Deputy Chairman of the Committee echoed these sentiments, noting that the success of the Games reflects the commitment of all stakeholders, including the state government, institutional heads, and the students themselves. In a show of solidarity and encouragement, Hon. Awoyeye confirmed his attendance at the grand finale scheduled for Wednesday, December 4th, at the Obafemi Awolowo University (OAU) Sports Complex. The final day is expected to be a spectacular celebration of athletic prowess and camaraderie, featuring the much-anticipated football final, sprint events including the 100m and 200m races, relay races, tug of war, and an institution's parade.

Also speaking, the Team Lead of Ace Sports Global Management, Olayiwola Olafiranye thanked the State Government and everyone for creating a conducive environment for sports to excel in the state. He reiterated the commitment of the present Government to developing sports across all quarters.

The day will culminate with a grand closing ceremony, where medals and trophies will be awarded to outstanding athletes and institutions. Hon. Awoyeye expressed his excitement about witnessing the climax of the Games and encouraged the public to turn out en masse to support the athletes.
