Defender Femi Ladeinde has expressed his dissatisfaction with Sporting Lagos following his move Stormers FC of Abeokuta, Nigeriasoccernet.com reports.

Sporting Lagos have confirmed the appointment of Jeffery Buter as the club's new head coach ahead of the new NNL campaign, Nigeriasoccernet.com reports.

He previously worked as an assistant to former head coach Shola Adegun, who is now at NPFL side Plateau United.

He joined the Tech Boys in 2023 as an Academy assistant coach and played a key role in their 2024 Gothia Puma Trophy win.

He stepped up to the first team last season as assistant coach and now takes the helm as Head Coach.

He holds English FA and Scottish FA licenses and is currently completing his UEFA C license.

The Tech Boys lost 0-2 in the Gothia Puma trophy U-17 Boys category quarter final against Right to Dream FC at the SKF Arena on Thursday.

Bi Voli Bryan Christian Zamble scored twice in the 21st minutes and 42nd minutes to give the Ghanaian club the win.

Right to Dream had defeated Derby Football Club of Nigeria in their first game of group 3 before going on to win their remaining matches leading to the last 8.

Reports reaching Nigeriasoccernet.com say that Sporting Lagos Football Club is set to promote academy Coach, Shola Adegun as the substantive coach of the club.

According to Nigeria ace journalist, Ojeikere Aikhoje Adegun is one that the club to start their life again in the Nigeria National League after their relegation from the Nigeria Premier Football League.

The report says the Noisy Lagosians are ready to follow the path of Beyond Limit whose Coach, Olumide Ajibolade, won the second-tier NNL and promoted the team to NPFL.

Adegun who is currently the head coach of Sporting Lagos Academy led the club to success at the 2024 Gothia Cup in Sweden.

Veteran broadcaster and chairman of Sporting Lagos Football Club, Godwin Enakhena has disclosed that the club will not buy Nigeria Premier Football League slot from Beyond Limit, Nigeriasoccernet.com reports.

Following their relegation from the NPFL, reports have been rife on one of the relegated teams especially Sporting Lagos and Heartland FC buying the slot of Beyond Limit, but the football administrator says it is not in the plan of the club.

Mr. Enakhena while responding to comments on his X post disclosed that the club is not willing to buy any slot, but will rather fight to comeback soon to topflight football.

Godwin had posted a statement apologizing to fans for the Noisy Lagosians' failure to remain in the league.

He said "If I gladly received accolades when Sporting Lagos gained promotion to the NPFL and Naija Super 8 win, why would I be angry now if I'm blamed for the team's relegation? I apologise to the fans, we'll be back shortly in the npfl. What I've issues with are the wrong accusations."

In one of the comments to the post insinuating of the club will buy the Premiership league slot, Godwin  said:

"Buying a space is not an option, they'd rather play from the lower division back to the top...you get it now?"

Bayelsa United came from behind to beat Shooting Stars 2-1 at the Samson Siasia Stadium while Sporting Lagos also defeated former champions, Enyimba FC 2-1 at the Mobolaji Johnson Arena, Onikan.

Christian Pyagbara had put the visitors ahead on 26 minute, but the Prosperity Boys staged a comeback back courtesy of two goals by John Bassey on 76 and 90 minutes.

In Lagos, Sporting Lagos took their destiny into their own hands after beating former champions, Enyimba FC despite an early penalty miss by Junior Lokosa.

Godwin Odibo fired home the first goal of the encounter at the stroke of half time, but the visitors levelled score on 74 minute after Chijioke Mbaoma scored from the spot.

However, a slip from the defense of Enyimba gave Jonathan Alukwu the opportunity to calmly finish on 85 minute.

The win takes Bayelsa United to 47  points in 15 place while Sporting Lagos have 43 points in 17 position, leaving aal to play for the last matchday of the season.

News reaching Nigeriasoccernet.com days Abdullahi Biffo will be the new coach of Nigeria Premier Football League side, Sporting Lagos after the sack of Coach Paul Offor, Nigeriasoccernet.com reports.

The news filtered in after Sporting Lagos confirmed the exit of Offor who helped the club gain promotion to the NPFL last season after the match against Sunshine Stars.

It was said that the decision to sack Offor had Ben made prior to the match as Buffo took charge of training already to be assisted by Ashifat, his trusted hand at Kwara Utd.

Coach Biffo managed Kwara Utd from the 2019/20 season until August 30, 2022 where he oversaw 96 matches, maintaining an average of 1.53 points per match.

Lagos based Nigeria Premier Football League side Sporting Lagos Football Club has parted company with head coach Paul Offor, report Nigeriasoccernet.com.

"On behalf of everyone at Sporting Lagos, the Club would like to express its gratitude to Coach Paul for his efforts and achievements during his time with the Club," the club statement reads.

Nigeria Premier Football League side, Sporting Lagos had to dig deep to win on penalties to progress to the quarter finals of the Lagos State FA Cup on Monday, Nigeriasoccernet.com reports.

Sporting Lagos had to come from behind twice at both halves in the round of 16 clash to play 2-2 at regulation time before edging Broad City FC 5-4 on penalties at Onikan Stadium.

The National League One side had taken the lead on 14 minute before Naibe Akpesiri drew the Tech Boys level with a cheeky finish on 38 minute as the first half ended 1-1.

Broad City recovered the lead 5 minutes after the restart of the game, but Ekene Olisema rose highest to nod home a good corner from Chinedu Ufere to put the encounter at equilibrium 16 minutes later.

At the end of 90 minutes and additional time, there was nothing to choose between the two sides as the game headed into penalties.

Junior Lokosa took the decisive penalty to give the Noisy Lagosians the win which ensure they progress to the next round of the competition.

The Ikon Allah Boys are battle ready ahead of the NPFL Matchday 25 encounter against Sporting Lagos as Coach Majin Mohammed's wards looks to consolidate on an impressive away result recorded last weekend in Yenagoa.

Majin Mohammed warned his boys against complacency, saying that "the away win would amount to nothing if we fail to keep it water tight in our home games."

A scintillating climax it was to the Nigeria Premier Football League match day 24 fixture between Sporting Lagos and Remo Stars as the Lagos trashed their fellow South West club on Sunday, Nigeriasoccernet.com reports.

Sporting Lagos earned a vital point in their bid to stay afloat in the Nigeria Premier Football League after playing a goalless draw against Doma United on Monday, Nigeriasoccernet.com reports.

There was nothing to choose between the Savannah Tigers and the Noisy Lagosians as the match day 23 fixture ended goalless despite going a man down at the latter part of the game at the Pantami Stadium, Gombe.

Goalkeeper Christian Nwoke of the Tech Boys stood tall, making 5 crucial saves to help his side take a point away from.

Usman Musa fired a decent short but it was saved on 35 minutes of the game, but Nwoke again did the needful to keep the score goalless.

In the second half, Mike Zaruma got his marching orders after a second bookable offense on 79 minutes.

Nwoke continued his fine performance nevertheless as saved Charles Terwar effort in the 79th minute and another effort from Doma 10 minutes later to help the Lagos side steal a point away from home.
