Speaking as a guest on NTA’s sports programme, Nosa shared his thoughts on the UEFA Champions League final and other football-related topics. He revealed plans to devote more time to his football academy, with hopes of one day exploring a career in football analysis.

“For now, my priority is giving back through my academy,” he said, adding that helping young talents grow is his next chapter after football.

After starting his career in his native Nigeria with Sharks and Warri Wolves, he moved to the Norwegian club Lillestrøm in 2009. In 2011, he moved to Israel to play for Hapoel Tel Aviv, then played in La Liga for Real Betis from 2012-14.

In 2014, he returned to Israel to play for powerhouse Maccabi Tel-Aviv, and played for Çaykur Rizespor in Turkey's top-flight Süper Lig, where he recorded one goal and two assists in 15 appearances, including a pair of Turkish Cup matches.

He joined Vancouver Whitecaps in 2017 before moving to Cyprus to play for Anorthosis Famagusta FC in the 2018-2019 season.

Nosa, who was given his first call-up to the national team by Samson Siasia, had 15 appearances for the Nigeria Super Eagles, where he won the 2013 African Cup of Nations during late Coach Stephen Keshi's reign.

He is to tender a written apology & retract the match-fixing allegations.

Nigeria U-17 national team continued their preparation to the WAFU B -17 tournament with two wins in friendly matches played on Thursday at the FIFA Goal Project, Moshood Abiola stadium, Abuja, Nigeriasoccernet.com reports

The Golden Eaglets as they are known who played two different teams on the day at different times won 2-0 and 6-0 respectively.

Lobi Stars of Makurdi have been sanctioned by the Interim Management Committee of the Nigeria Premier Football League, NPFL for breaching the rules of the league, Nigeriasoccernet.com reports.

The IMC fined Lobi Stars a total sum of two million naira for behaviours that led to delay in the kick off their match day 10 tie against Doma United at the Pantami Stadium on Sunday.

Lobi Stars FC Vice Chairman, Dominic Iorfa was also issued a stern warning for the part played in the delay of the match.

The Interim Management Committee (IMC) in a Summary Jurisdiction signed by Davidson Owumi, the Head of Operations, expressed strong displeasure over the incidence.

The charge reads, “You are in breach of Rule B13.26 of the Frameworks and Rules of the Nigeria Premier football League, in that on Sunday 26th of March 2023, in the course of Match Day 10 Fixture: Doma United FC vs. Lobi Stars FC, your Vice-Chairman, Mr. Dominic Iorfa, caused disturbances and disruptions that delayed the kick-off for the match”.

Lobi was also found in breach of Rule C.9 for failing to “control your officials and ensure their proper conduct which resulted in the disruption of Match Day proceedings”.

Hence, the club is to pay a fine of ?1.5million for disturbances and disruptions caused by their team that led to delayed kickoff.

And a fine of ?500,000 for “failing to control and ensure the proper conduct of your official(s)”.

The club 14 days to pay the fine, communicating the acceptance of the ruling or appeal the ruling within the next 48 hours.

Besides, Doma United were cautioned to conduct themselves better next time or a repeat of their action will attract a stadium ban.

Kwara United were winners against SGFC Athletic Sports Club on Saturday in the semi final of the Kwara State FA Cup at the KFA Pitch, Nigeriasoccernet.com reports.

The Afonja Warriors triumphed by three goals to two against the Nigeria Nationwide League, NNL side.

A mouh watering encounter saw the game end two all in the first half before the Harmony Boys were able to take the day.

Omaka Anthony had opened score for the NPFL side in the 10th minute, but Suleiman Ibrahim restored parity for SGFC 12 minutes later.

Samad Kadri restored United's lead in the 32nd minute from the penalty spot, but Anthony Jegede made sure the tie ended in equilibrium as he scored in the 38th minute.

Godwin Oshagbemi however scored in the 57th minute to restore the lead for the third time in the game through a header.

This time it was going to be the last as Kwara United held on to win the match and progress to the final of the state FA Cup.

Eddy Lord Dombraye, former Coach of Nigeria Premier Football League, NPFL side, Lobi Stars has lamented that he is still been owed by the club, Nigeriasoccernet.com has gathered.

The UEFA A licensed coach from Ukraine Football Federation disclosed that the Makurdi based team are yet to pay him after relieving him of his duties in March, 2022.

"No they have not settled me yet o, this is frustrating as I have people who depend on me too”. He told media.

He revealed he had written to the management of the league, NFF and the club itself, but all efforts have been futile as 18 months of his salary is yet to be paid.

"My agent has written to the then LMC, Lobi Stars and NFF".

"Sir we signed 2 two years contract, they are to pay 18 months that's remaining".

He states that he and team have decided to call at the Court Arbitration for Sports for help.

"So now my agent will go to the court of arbitration to seek justice".

After playing a one all draw against Remo Stars on Wednesday, Coach Kabiru Dogo has stated that his team's attack has to improve subsequently, Nigeriasoccernet.com reports.

As Lobi Stars continue their unbeaten run after their loss in the first match of the season, Assistant Coach of the team, Tar Akombo has revealed the secret behind the team's success and the need for them to get better, Nigeriasoccernet.com reports.

The Markudi based team have not lost in six matches with a draw and five wins which has kept them top of the League's group B standings ahead of reigning champions, Rivers United.

Akombo who reacted after their win against Dakkada FC on Sunday to journalist attributed the team's performance to unity and hard work.

The Afonja Warriors were handed consecutive defeat in their match day 4 encounter against  Enyimba of Aba by three goals to nil at the Aba Stadium on Sunday.

Emeka Obioma and Adebambo scored to condem the Harmony Boys to a second defeat of the season which also left them winless with just two points after four matches.

The outcome at Aba has put United, one of Nigeria's representatives at last year's CAF Confederation Cup in an unpalatable situation and the need to get back on track as soon as possible has become crucial in an abridged league as this season's.

Coach Mohammed, after the match stated that his team inability to take chances which cost them greatly on Sunday. He however believes they will get better.

”We gave a good fight and played a good game too but we lost to a better side who created chances and used it adequately but on our part we couldn’t convert our chances and paid dearly for it but we will keep working as a team. We know with the nature of the league this season every game counts but it’s not over yet we will get it if we correct our mistakes.”

Lobi Stars got a sweet win over Abia Warriors on match day 3, ending the Umuahia based team's fine run to the start of the Nigeria Premier Football League, NPFL season.

It was Kumara Suur’s strike five minutes before the hour mark that condemned Abia Warriors to their first defeat of the season as Lobi Stars made it back to back win.

In a cagey encounter which pitched the Warriors with two wins against the Makurdi side with a loss and win, there was nothing choose in the first half as it ended goalless.

Though, it should have been a different score line after Umar Abba in a one-on-one situation couldn't beat goalkeeper, Femi Thomas who saved his effort in the 38th minute.

However, in the second phase of the game, Joseph Atule passes the ball nicely to Suur to score his first league goal of the season and Lobi's winner.

With the result, Lobi Stars have now won two consecutive games . They play host to newly promoted side, Bayelsa United in their next game.

Lobi Stars Coach, Mohammed Baba Ganaru has stated that it was important his team got their first win in the NPFL Match Day 2 fixtures against Rangers International of Enugu on Wednesday.

Joseph Atule late minute strike secured maximum points for the Markudi based team on Wednesday at the New Jos Stadium.

It was quiet a relief for the team which had lost their match day one fixture against reigning champions, Rivers United following a late minute penalty kick goal.

Gaffer of the side, Mohammed is happy with the win and states that it will take off anxiety and pressure.

"The team showed character and fighting spirit. It is important to start with a win at home to avoid anxiety and pressure" Baba Ganaru said in a post match reaction.

SGFC Athletics product Bright Etaghara has expressed his excitement after he made his Nigeria Premier Football League (NPFL) debut in Kwara United’s goaless draw with Gombe United on Sunday evening.

The midfielder replaced Anthony Omaka on the 74th minutes and went on to make his presence felt as he controlled and dictated play with some exquisite moves within his short time on the pitch.

He came close to scoring late in the game after he pounced on a lose ball inside the Gombe United’s penalty area but his efforts was well parried away by Itodo Akor in goal for the Savannah Scorpions.

“It was a difficult game, the pressure was high but I am happy with the debut and what I was able to do within the short time. I also appreciate my coach for believing in me,”  He said.

“I will continue to work hard and give my best to the club to see that we have a good outing this season”, he concluded.

Kwara United will next take on Shooting Stars of Ibadan at the same venue on Thursday.

Ahead of their league opener, Kwara United Technical Adviser, Abdulazeez Mohammed has stated his team is ready to do the state proud in the 2022/2023 Nigeria Premier Football League Season.

Mohammed expressed confidence that his team will  start the season on high as they play Gombe United in their first match.

While speaking after training at Adamasingba this on Saturday evening, he said he feels positive because of the mentality and spirit of the players and resolved not to disappoint the supporters, according to the club's Twitter Page.

Reacting to the psychological preparations of the team despite playing home away from home, the former Katsina United handler said the players are fully prepared, as they know what is at stake.

"Just like Ilorin and Lagos, Ibadan is also our home, and we shall come out victorious", He said.

The Harmony Boys will go against Savannah Scorpions 15th January at the adopted Lekan Salami Stadium.

Rivers United will begin their title defense on Sunday against Lobi Stars in the 2022/2023 Nigeria Premier Football League, NPFL and Joseph Onoja has stated that the team is not under pressure, all they want to do is win.

Onoja stated that the team will be going into the game against Lobi Stars with one thing in mind which is to win and nothing else.

"We will always do what we know how to do best, which is to win. We have prepared very well and we will do our best, no strings attached. We are not under any pressure, we just want to do our job and the most important thing for us is to win.'

He disclosed that a good start to the league sesson will be a big moral booster for the "Pride of Rivers" ahead of the CAF Confederation's Cup group stage matches.

"It will be a very big moral booster for us going into the CAF Confederation's cup knowing that we will not struggling with any match fitness. So starting the league will be a very big moral booster for us".

The match will take place on Sunday the 15th of January 2023 at the Adokiye Amiesimaka Stadium.

Lobi Stars of Makurdi have revealed three out of the players added to the Squad ahead of the 2022/2023 season on Saturday.

The Makurdi based club took to their Twitter handle to make the announcement.

"Introducing some of our new arrivals. Tested and trusted! Orji Kalu, Chinedu Sunday and Samuel Matthias. Kalu and Matthias have experience playing for Nigeria. And Matthias is making a return.", the tweet read.

Defender, Orji Kalu joined from Akwa United in September. He had played previously fo Kano Pillars and Rangers International of Enugu.

Striker Samuel Mathias was a player of Plateau United before returning to Lobi which he left in the 2021/2022 season.

Chinedu Sunday, from Heartland to Lobi Stars is a defender who also played for Kano Pillars in the 2021 season.

Meanwhile, in preparation for the new season, Lobi Stars defeated Jekins Sporting Academy 3-0 in a friendly played on Saturday at the Aper Aku Stadium.

Experienced Nigerian forward, Nanen Imenger, Alex Jerry and Emeka Obiora got the goals.

Kwara United Chairman Kumbi Titiloye has revealed the club's agreement to the programme of the football governing body in the country.

He stated while speaking with Owosports.com.ng. that the club will comply with whatever system initiated by the league management body.

“Whatever system that is adopted by the federation, we must comply since we are under our state FA, we must comply with whatever they tell us and then we go ahead and prepare but we are ready anyways.” He said.

Titiloye was impressed with the Interim Management Committee (IMC ) for their partnership with GTI Group as way of easing the financial burdens of the clubs.

“Well, this is not the first time however, after a long time something good is about to happen in Nigerian football which we’ll support because making government were it can run and shoulder the league is an apprehension to stay with, so if we can get private sponsorships to come in, then these clubs can become just like our music industry were you see the actors earning serious money. This is what we want with our players in the NPFL so that not all our best players will be running to any leagues around the world just because of money.”

The football administrator seized the opportunity to state the preparedness for the new season stating that their sole ambition is to win the league title.

“We are fully prepared for the season, We want to win the league. Whatever system, our desire and focus is to win the league.”

Kwara United will return to their home ground by Easter according to Mr. Alloy Chukwuemeka who is the secretary of the NPFL club owners association.

The Football Director ABS FC (Abubakar Bukola Saraki Football Club) disclosed in an interview with veteran journalist, Mitchel Obi on Sport Salsa on Kennis FM that the stadium is undergoing some form of rehabilitation, but it will be completed before the Easter celebration in April.

"The Ilorin Stadium is undergoing rehabilitation, as the current government is replacing artificial turf on the pitch with natural grass.

" Reason behind the change of the playing turf is geared towards hosting of international competitions or qualifiers involving Nigeria's national male or female national teams.

"The development made Kwara United host their CAF Confederations Cup preliminary matches at the Mobolaji Sports Arena (formerly Onikan Stadium) in Lagos.

"With the season kicking off this weekend, the state football team have opted to have their home matches at the Lekan Salami Sports Complex, Adamasingba in Ibadan, Oyo State, pending completion of the project.

"The rehabilitation and re-grassing of the Ilorin Stadium should be completed before the Easter celebration."

Kwara United are one of the clubs that were relocated to another stadium for not meeting the stadium requirement of the IMC. They have since been moved to the Lekan Salami Stadium in Ibadan.

Coach Azeez Mohammed Audu of Kwara United as reacted to the draw of the 2023 Nigeria Professional Football League season billed to start this January.

It will be recalled that Kwara United were placed in group A alongside Enyimba, Plateau United, Remo Stars, Nasarawa United, Gombe United, El Kanemi Warriors, Akwa United, Bendel Insurance, and Shooting Stars.

Audu stated that his side have been placed in a difficult group, but they are ready to compete with the big teams in an interview with www.owosports.com.ng.

“The group is very though but we have nothing to do than to buckle up and be ready”, Coach Azeez said.

“If you want to be a champion you have to face and beat anybody that comes your way and I think with the mentality from the boys they are ready to fight to get the needed results.

The former Katsina United manager disclosed that the team was prepared with warm games played and are working on how to get the players to play together.

“We are prepared, we’ve played some friendly matches the only thing we are working on now is how to get the player to play together and we are doing that we are ready for the season the only disadvantage we have now is that we are not going to play our home matches in Kwara which also affect some other clubs also.

He further spoke on his team not playing at their home turf, Kwara United after it failed to meet the IMC requirement. He stated that it will affect, but will adjust.

“Every club would love to play Infront of their fans, even Barcelona will always want to play at the Camp Nou. The support from the fans is always a plus to every team but we just have to adjust and face the reality. He concluded
