Cassano: Inter can aim for the Scudetto with Conte

Former Inter and Sampdoria forward Antonio Cassano believes the Nerazzurri can win the Serie A title with Antonio Conte as coach.

The 37-year-old reflected on some of the changes in coaches at Serie A clubs including the Biscione, who have hired the former Juventus and Italy tactician to replace Luciano Spalletti.

“Many benches have changed, the market has yet to come to life,” Cassano told Il Secolo XIX.

“However, I will already reveal now and say that if the Inter players manage to assimilate and immediately understand Conte’s ideas, they will be able to aim for the Scudetto.

“Conte is the only coach that makes you put in 100 percent from the beginning to the end. If others make a mistake, he wins the title.”

Cassano also praised former Roma coach Eusebio Di Francesco for taking the Sampdoria job and he is convinced the new coach can improve the Doriani.

“A great friend of mine,” Cassano said. “He will be an added value for Sampdoria.

“And I think that after having been exonerated from Rome by accepting [President Massimo] Ferrero’s proposal, he received certainty about the future.”
