Central African Republic head coach Raoul Savoy says Victor Osimhen is the best striker in Africa at the moment.

Savoy’s side will lock on with the Super Eagles in the 2022 FIFA World Cup qualifiers double-header, and one of their tasks is to track down the Napoli forward.

Osimhen has scored seven goals in his last six games for Napoli this season and he also scored one in two world cup qualifying games for the Super Eagles.

Osimhen is expected to lead the attack when Nigeria host the Wild Beasts for the first encounter at the Teslim Balogun Stadium, Lagos on Thursday, October 7.

Speaking ahead of the game, Savoy hinted that, it will be an honour for his side to play against the in-form star striker.

“I don’t like to talk about specific players because you know that football is a game we play with 11 players and substitutes,” Savoy told journalists.

“For now I think Osimhen is doing very well in Napoli, he is scoring a lot of goals.

“I like his style of play, powerful and a really good striker. For us, of course, it will be an honour to play against this class of players but for now, I think Osimhen is for me the best at the moment.”

Central African Republic are occupying the bottom of group C with 1 point from two-game, while Nigeria is leading with six maximum points.
