New Sevilla manager Joaquin Caparros has expressed confidence in Nigerian winger Chidera Ejuke, tipping him to play a key role in the club’s plans moving forward, writes Nigeriasoccernet.com.
Ejuke joined Sevilla on a free transfer last summer following his departure from CSKA Moscow. Despite a hamstring injury that sidelined him for a few months, the 27-year-old has made 22 LaLiga appearances, contributing two goals and one assist so far this season.
Speaking to Futbol Fantasy, Caparros praised Ejuke’s abilities:
“He has quality. In the first half of the season, when he was here, he was a decisive player. I’ve seen him in games where he’s made the difference for our team.”
The coach, who took over after Garcia Pimienta’s dismissal, assured the Nigerian international of full backing:
“He has to come back; he has the confidence of me and the entire coaching staff.”
Caparros’ faith signals a fresh opportunity for Ejuke to establish himself as a regular and influential figure at the Andalusian club.
