African football governing body has appointed the Benin Republic referee as the man in charge of the game involving Ivory Coast champions ASEC Mimosa and Nigeria's Rivers United, Nigeria soccernet reports

FIFA International referee Djindo Louis Houngnandandé has been appointecenterhe center referee for the top-of-the-table clash.

Named best Beninese referee last season, he recently officiated the match between Guinea and Ethiopia in the just concluded match day 4 2023 African Cup of Nations qualifier.

His first assistant will be Eric Ayimavo, Lucien Hontonnou will serve as his second assistant and Daniel Luc Kassa is the fourth official of the meeting.

The Ghanaian Prosper Harrison Addo acts as match commissioner while the Algerian Mohamed Zekrini is the assessor of the referees.

The game will take place on Sunday, April 2 at the Yamoussoukro Stadium.
