Mfon Udoh, the Enyimba of Aba striker, has said that the team has the responsibility to represent Nigeria well in this year’s CAF Champions League. He spoke on Thursday after Enyimba against the backdrop of the team grouped alongside Egypt giant, Zamalek, ES Setif of Algeria and Mamelodi Sundowns of South Africa. He said that Enyimba remains focused to qualify for the final of the competition. The competition’s top scorer this season, however, admitted that it was going to be difficult but not impossible. “Well I must say it’s going to be a difficult. I commend CAF for its effort in the grouping. “We (my team-mates and I) are happy about the outcome of the draws. We’re not afraid but we respect our opponents. When you consider the fact that each team in the group phase went through the rigorous qualification round, then you can only but respect them. “Having said that, the responsibility is now on us to represent Nigeria well this season and by that I mean, ensuring that we qualify for the next round of the competition. “There’s a belief and determination within the players to go all the way in this competition; that’s why we’ve been working very hard because adequate preparation and attention to little details will be very vital,” he said.
