Nigeria representative, Plateau United got a slim win against Esperance De Tunis in the CAF Champions League second round preliminary fixture on Sunday at the MKO Abiola Stadium.
Plateau United had to rallied back from a goal down to win a strong Tunisian side by two goals to one.
All three goals came in the first forty-five minutes of the game through Anice Badri for Esperance while Ifeanyi Emmanuel and Mustapha Yuga.
The visiting team drew first blood after a 27th minute goal by Badri setting a tone for a delicately poised game.
Coach Ilechukwu Boys did respond with a 34th minute goal through defender Emmanuel to give his team the needed boost to victory.
By the 45 plus one additional minute, Mustapha got the home crowd to a roar with the second goal which gave Plateau United the lead into the second half.
It could have been a result with a larger margin for Plateau, but failing to covert chances was their undoing as the score remained that way till the end.
