CAF Awards: Chiamaka Nnadozie takes best goalkeeper award for third consecutive year

Nigeria's Super Falcons goalkeeper, Chiamaka Nnadozie, is the best goalkeeper in Africa for the third time running, Nigeriasoccernet.com reports.

She was named the best goalkeeper for 2025 at the CAF held at the Université Mohammed VI Polytechnique, Rabat, Morocco, on Wednesday evening.

The Brighton and Hove Albion women's shot stopper beat Khadija Er-Rmichi of Morocco and AS FAR and Andile Dlamini of Mamelodi Sundowns and South Africa to win.

She sets a new record, becomes the first and only goalkeeper to win CAF's Goalkeeper of the Year award three times in a row.

Nigeria Women's National Football team, the Super Falcons, emerged as winners of the women's national team of the year, beating Morocco and Ghana to the award.

The win comes following the win of the 2024  Women's African Nations Cup WAFCON in Morocco early this year.
