Immediately after taking office at Hertha BSC, sports director Fredi Bobic announced talks about a possible contract extension with Niklas Stark, according to kicker. However, a notification of execution is still pending.

The reasons for this apparently lie on both sides. On the one hand, the defensive player would like to wait for the development of the club, which is currently 14th in the table with just six points. On the other hand, the Berliners want to evaluate Stark's “stability”.

According to information from the trade journal, the negotiations are therefore initially on hold after several rounds of talks. It cannot be ruled out that the two parties will come together after all. But it could also lead to a separation. At the age of 26, Stark is in the prime footballer's age and should be transferring free of charge when his contract expires in the summer.
