According to Sport Bild, the Bavarian club have agreed to let Marco Richter leave Augsburg and join the Berlin-based club and in turn will receive the services of Arne Maier from Hertha. Maier will move to Augsburg on a one-season loan deal expected to be made permanent with an option to buy. On the other hand, Richter will arrive in Berlin for a transfer worth €8m.
Both the clubs see this as a beneficial move for the players’ development and also for the respective squads.
