BUNDES - Max Eberl on Denis Zakaria: “There is a lot of enquiries"

Speaking at yesterday press conference, Borussia Mönchengladbach sporting director Max Eberl has discussed the future of 24-year-old midfielder Denis Zakaria.

"Denis ruled out a contract extension last winter. He has the idea of possibly taking a new step this summer. There is a lot of enquiries but we have to see what happens in the next days and weeks,” said Eberl.

Sport1 reported last month that the entourage of Zakaria are pushing for a transfer this summer with just 12 months remaining on the Swiss’ current deal. He has been linked with a move away from Germany, with the names of Juventus, Roma, Inter, Tottenham and Arsenal thrown in the mix.
