Speaking to BILD on Sunday morning, Borussia Mönchengladbach sporting director Max Eberl has confirmed that Bayern Munich target Jonas Hofmann (29) will remain at the club with just hours remaining in the summer transfer window.
“Jonas is staying in Gladbach. There was never a specific offer from Bavaria, there were never serious discussions with Bayern. Our squad is staying as it is,” said Eberl.
The Germany international has two years remaining on his Gladbach contract and he also has caught the interest of many big clubs across Europe because of his consistency with Gladbach.
