Freiburg who sold Baptiste Santamaria to Rennes for €14M is now looking for his replacement. KICKER reports that Bundesliga club is considering Relegated Werder Bremen's Maximilian Eggestien to replace French Midfielder. Eggestien is a Bremen product who made debut in 2014 & has been a regular for them for the last 4 seasons. He was once linked with Milan & Lyon in the past. Former U-21 German INT couldn't save Bremen from relegation last season & even their DOF Frank Baumann said last month that he wants to move back to Bundesliga club.
According to BILD & DeichStube, Freiburg is closing on him & his medical is due tomorrow. Maximilian has played 158 League games for Bremen scoring 12 times. His Younger brother Johannes also left the club this window for Belgium side Antwerp.
