Borussia Dortmund Reportedly Reject £11m Bid From Liverpool for Christian Pulisic

Bundesliga giants Borussia Dortmund have reportedly rejected a £11m bid from Liverpool for the exciting midfield prospect Christian Pulisic, according to German publication Transfermarkt.

The 17-year-old prodigy currently has two-years remaining on his contract at the Signal Iduna Park and it is understood the Bundesliga giants are reluctant to allow the youngster to leave during this transfer window.

Pulisic joined the Dortmund academy in January 2015, while Jurgen Klopp was still in charge, but broke into the first team under Thomas Tuchel in the second half of last season. He impressed in his 12 appearances and even became the youngest non-German ever to score in the Bundesliga.

His performances have attracted significant interest from sides in the Premier League, with Stoke City understood to be monitoring the situation. But Liverpool are reportedly showing the strongest interest in the USA international but they have been told that the exciting prospect will not be leaving.

Reports suggest the Reds would be willing to accept defeat during this current transfer window but would move again should Pulisic continue his meteoric development at Dortmund.

The 17-year-old's father Mark Pulisic, however, revealed recently his son had no intention in leaving Dortmund and insisted his son wants to continue his progression at the club after his breakthrough last season.

"There is no interest from Christian to leave the club," he told German media. "He had last season half a year and wants to assert himself more."

The youngster was included in Tuchel's squad that beat Mainz 05 2-1 on the opening weekend of the Bundesliga but he did not come off the bench.
